Is that an amplifier? A guitar? A record?

The double Florentine cutaway is a dead give away for a Barney Kessel guitar. Details: Vintage Guitar - Gibson Barney Kessel Electric Acoustic Guitar

Is the one for sale a regular or a custom?

I have seen them between $2500-$3500, depending on condition. Have you looked to see if there are any on ebay? If so, check there what they are going for. Good luck with the sale.

yeah guitar, regular. That's the one, in your picture.

it's in good but not great shape.

derek, I think you're right 2500 to 3500.

on ebay there are two for 7 to 8 thousand dollars, which I think is quite a bit too high.

thanks for the input.

Check here. It looks like the custom is the one with the high numbers

by the way, when I got this guitar, I was a lad, playing in a very loud psychedelic band, doing hendrix!

had to get another guitar for the band, but the best guitar sound I have ever gotten, any guitar any amp, was this guitar, through a sixties blackface tubed twin, played pretty loud.

again, thanks. lots of help for me.
