| | 557 jazz standards pdf Hi!
I regularly notice people in need of this or that chord chart, so I found a great pdf file at one of my fav places, Valdez studios. There's a download of a compilation of 557 tunes in pdf, just go to http://valdez.dumarsengraving.com/557JazzStandards.PDF
and save it on your hd, it covers - like stated ' swing to bop, something for every jazzer...
Hope you can use it.
Peace

I feel if I find something that might serve somebody (note the Dylan connection...) it should go here.

| | You are all welcome,
Casa Valdez has a lot of interesting things very often. I go there several times a week, there seems to pop up stuff there regularly. And as I'm no millionaire I try to find good stuff legally downloadable if possible. I'm no bundle of joy right now, because my wife told me a couple of days ago she wants a divorce, so my life is gone it seems. And now I'm quite happy I've got jazz to think of, because otherwise I'd cry all the time.
And my lovely daughter caught in the middle of this, but I've reassured her she won't ever be without a father.
Excuse me for talking about this 'unjazzy' subject, but I'm like in a storm now, so a bit unfocussed, as it were.
But from now on jazz will be my only love (and the daughter), one that won't divorce me at least...
And in case anybody wonder what happened to the link to my website with my meager attempts at jazz playing, I got so desperate I trashed it all, was thinking of selling the guitars too, but luckily reconsidered, but I just can't take the time to mess around with sites and stuff now, maybe I'll set one up later, but the playing will continue though...
Peace

take care out there (it's a cold world)

| | Thanks all for support, it's really really appreciated!!
And it's starting to sink in now, also this morning I got a call from the housing agents, I got the one room and kitchen apartment I had applied for. Meaning tuesday I'll sign the lease, and December 1 I can move in, so great!
I played a slow blues and smiled at the world, feeling I'll get it all in shape for christmas. Ok.
So these are the cards life had in store for me. Just dig and play as best you can, yeah...
Peace

Sorry to hear about your situation. Keep your daughter and guitar close to you, and remember it's always darkest just before the dawn.

| | Skei,
My gratitude at your generosity in providing the .pdf file is matched by my sadness at your news. Bear up bro, the sun will rise again tomorrow and the next day, and you need to see what it brings.
All the best. |

| | Hey Skei. Whatever you do, don't ever stop playing the guitar. It'll be the one thing you'll be able to trust besides your daughter. I went through the same thing myself plus several relationship breakups. The guitar will be your friend, your psychiatrist, your bartender, and a few dozen other good things. Stay on the site also. There'll be plenty of us here that will listen when you need to talk. Better times are definitely ahead. This comes from one who knows. |

It's good to have people around who like jazz, are friendly, and stuff, when everything seems to be downwards. Well, I certainly will keep on learning jazz guitar, because like some people mentions, music is like therapy. And what therapy could possibly match jazz?
I've got a new place, small and so but place for the guitars and my computers.
Just have to fix some kind of internet connection, well I suppose I'll probably have to log in to jazzguitar.be from the library - they've got internet one may use for free.
I'm certainly not going to waste the guitar playing, and this spot is the best, so I'll be around. Count on that.
All the best

Peace

| | CC323,
as far as I can tell it should be, but I have no idea. I just found it at a blog (David Valdez's) and I suppose it is. I just thought there'd be somebody else who'd like to find it as well.
Peace

| | | Oh yeah man, I'm definitely interested (and thankful), and I wasn't accusing you of illegality, I was just wondering if the book itself is composer approved such as the 6th edition real book or sher music co's new real books. |

| | Hey skei, Thanks for the pdf 557.
Sorry about your situation. I went thru it. My wife left because I was on the road to much. Now my daughter is the lead singer in my band. Be
positive and things will always be right.

| | I don't think this is the forum for that. I don't see a catagory for it. Perhaps Dirk would consider adding that catagory. Maybe not. You might wind up with people posting stuff for sale in all the catagories just to insure that somebody see's what they have to sell.
I could be mistaken but the vibe I get from all the threads I've read is that most people posting on this site would prefer it be a place to learn and exchange ideas rather than sell things. There are plenty of sites for that.
Again , not my call. just an observation. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
