Skei | So sorry to hear that bro! What you're going through right now is sheer bloody murder - I know I've been there myself (thankfully had no kids). Hang is as best as poss until you come out the other end. I can't remember much of what happened and what I did when going through your current situation (mind must have blocked it out) but my good friends really helped me through and my bro saved my life.
18 years down the road and I'm looking sweet, ahppily married to a beautiful Thai woman for the last ten years, got my own school going and have for the last four, am in the middle of buying another house (had to walk away from every thing in my life after the separation/divource) and I'm going to be 50 years old on 10th of March!
Keep with the jazz to see you through the hard times Skei, and hope your friends and family stick by you but you just need to focus on looking forward or left and right but don't look back - especially in anger if you want to stay positive.
really, good luck skei and we'll help out as much as we can if you want to stay in touch |

| | Thanks fast Eddy, much encouraging words in the middle of wintertime here.
Ah, and now it's been a while since the split up, it feels like it was perhaps some good in it after all. We are still best friends, we probably was not perfect as a couple, as we both feel good now, sleep better, I can see whatever I want to see on the telly, sleep 'til noon if I want to, practice all the time without feeling like a bad guy, et c. I think I'm better suited to be a bachelor, ultimately.
And also have the time to engage in painting, 3d graphics, writing, all those other things I had no time for during marriage. And practicing picking technique. And classics from bop to swing. Mostly bop. That's nice. I even had time to really learn Donna Lee. That's nice.
Oh, by the way Eddy, I was 46 on the 9th of March, good time to get older, just before spring...
Peace

| | Cheers Skei! That is one download that will be very useful for a long while I think. Sorry to hear what you're going through right now, I wish you all the best for the future - I know things will get better for you.
EDIT: Apologies! I just realised that some time has gone by since you first posted - glad to hear things have improved for you! (embarrased...)

| | No prob whatsoever. Time, it is such an alluring entity, a year or two hither or dither and, 'woops, what was that?' 'Oh, just your life, nothing else...'
And today it's gotten even better, I went to an interview at a music conservatory, school for classical music. the background noise was a female opera singer and somebody practicing piano etudes. Get how inspiring and totally awesome it was. The best part is I actually GOT the job. 2years assignment. Archive work. Perfect. |

Skei (the reading some Douglas Adams one) | Fantastic news, Skei. sounds like things have really come together for you and a great new job, too! Its full steam ahead for you and we're all glad to hear it.
I've just become an esol examiner for Cambridge University so things are looking up for my little school, here in Thailand, too! I was 50 on the 10th of March! Would have been nice to share a beer or three |

| | Glad to hear that fast eddy!
Sometimes life smiles at one, and it's only to smile back and enjoy it all.
Now it's back to practicing, bebop is one tough master, and no rest allowed... |

| | I downloaded a file that I found that had the jazz standards arranged for Band in a Box(Hundreds of tunes). Now I can not remember where I went to download it. I want to recommend to some people and I didn't write the site down. Does anyone know what the link is? It was free! and that is all I know.
