Default Walk Away Rene

Hi...I'm lucky enough to have just obtained a Gibson Johnny A guitar. I checked him out on You Tube and he does a beautiful version of Walk Away Rene. I'm just getting my feet wet with trying to learn some jazz, but can't figure out what the chords are in the reprise section. If anyone could help with that part I think I've got the rest of the tune down...thanks.

He has a tinge of Knopfler and Buchanan in his sound and approach.

Although this is not jazz, it is pretty. Do you have a lead sheet for it?

Just Walk Away Renee Chords - Four Tops - Guitar Chords

I see, well the first thing you need to do whenever trying to learn a song, unless you are practicing transcribing, is to find the written tune and get the template down so you can see what is going on. Then you can isolate individual movements and get the voicings that you want. Here is a link to the basic tune. Good luck.

And remember, Google is your friend.

BTW, you should be going to the link below. Matt Warnocks site is full of chords, voicings, inversions and scales etc.. it is free. You could spend months there. Look in the Jazz resource link. There are also over 100 free lessons.

Is it this version?

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Which bit are you calling "the reprise section"?

Think of it as being similar to the Stairway to Heaven progression with the bass notes.
