Well, I know that the tune is based off of rhythm changes. I can play that, but this tune is insanely fast and I can't keep up with it at that quick tempo. So how should I approach this?

Try starting with the 3rd and 7th of each chord. You can hear the harmony that way and they are small enough to get through the fast tempo. Then you can try building up from there with other voicings.

Try to use minimalist voicings in one position, it forces you to master chord construction. It's about economy of movement, and most sight readers have to deal with this to avoid looking at the neck while you're playing a chart, especially at fast tempos.

Would this be a good candidate for drop-2 and drop-3 voicings using only the low E through G strings?
