 Stella Been checking out this guy on youtube lately, he's really quite good. Excellent chord melody player and smokin' single note lines as well. Anybody hip to this cat or heard him before? [GVIDEO]‪Diego Figueiredo‬‏ - YouTube[/GVIDEO] He had a really hip solo guitar version of One Note Samba up and now I'm a little miffed that it's not on youtube anymore. | OH cool you live in Brazil. High on my list of places to visit. Will definitely make a point to check out some great Brazilian jazz guitar music while I'm there, and of course lot's of beaches lol. | I don't have my guitar in front of me so I'm not sure exactly, but it sounds like he's moving down the tritone, E-Bb-E-Bb-E, and harmonizing that with 5ths and/or 5th, 2 notes below each of those notes. So like E-Bb-E/Eb-A-Eb/Bb-F-Bb/A-E-A all the way down. Not sure exactly, but it's something like that. Very cool line! |

| Now I have my guitar with me and it wasn't that hard to get this lick after all.  Just a combination of 4th's and flat 5th's moving from one chord tone and resolving to another. His fingerstyle approach helps on that lick for sure. It's gonna take a lil practice to get the phrasing right with a pick. Cool lick though I'll get it. |
