Default Looking for advanced beginner Piano / Guitar duet

My girlfriend and I started taking lessons at the same time and we are looking for a piece we can work on together that isn't too hard but isnt boring to play (ie too simple). Is there a book that is jazz focused for piano that will give more jazz-voiced progressions with a main piano melody? Real Book doesn't have anything for her to play and her popular music books would have me strumming Amin. For 12 bars.

I'm at a point where I can play the changes and read/play the melody of a moderate Real Book tune. (When you Wish Upon A Star was this week!)

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand what you mean by "Real Book doesn't have anything for her to play"? You can take turns. She can play the melody while you comp or viceversa. Then you can improvise while she plays the chords, etc..

I don't think so, i could be just not articulating the issue. Yes we can both play it, but the Real Book (at least the one i have) is such a simplified version of the song (chords and single melody line) that if the piano was playing the melody, it would be too simple--ie. could be played with one finger. I think the better solution is likely to find a jazz-orientated piano book w/ guitar chords. The issue is that there isn't enough meat in a Real Book arrangement for us to both work on it, and i'm not far enough along to be improving.

Find a music store that has a good selection of print music. There is so much out there, but you have to look for it.
