Default static comping

i'm practicing some comping on nuages by django reinhardt. I get abit stuck when I come to stationary chords. Theres one part in particular:

| F#m7b5 | B7 | Em7 | Em7 | A7 | A7 | Am7 | D7 |

theres two bars of Em7 followed by two bars of A7. I want to move around abit, particularly on the A7 to build some tension. any ideas?

theres also lots of places where there is two bars of GM7. i throw extensions, diatonic chords and inversions in there but is there anything else i could be doin?
