arrainging chord melodies without playing them Hey guys!
I have a question about chord melody arrangements. Due to my illness I can't play, but I still learn new tunes and love to arrange. In fact I'm working on Bill Evans' Peri's Scope. When I studied with Joe Lano, he taught me chord-solo arranging by just putting the chord symbol above the not it should harmonizre, circle the note and write in subs. He would NEVER play them. When I played them, they sounded amazing. I was like "how the hell did he know what that would sound like without even writing it?"
1. Is there a chord-melody program/software
2.Do any of you arrange chord-solos without playing them? I bet a program would let me hear how it sounds. |
