The Poncho Sanchez ("Psychedelic Blues") version has a couple of key changes which I have been unable to completely decipher. The basic idea in F is, instead of after F going to what I call the bVI phrase (Db7) and then to the turnaround on D7#9, to which is added a kind of chromatic up/down thing of Eb9, Fm7add13/Eb, Eb9, then they to go to Ab (key change, I think) but then back to the D7#9 turnaround with the chromatic up down. Then repeat, I think, and then up to A (natural) key change, after that you're on your own. At one point they do the turnaround in a different key. In between various key changes they return to key of F.

turnaround, my version: x5456x (D7#9), x6566x (Eb9), x6676x (Fm7add13), x6566x (Eb9 again)

Which of course means you can also get Mike diLiddo's guitar voicings - a gold mine for a beginner like me.
