Video Pentatonic "So what" Harmony on the Guitar

Dudes, I flippin' love "So What" chords. They are the cat's meow. The bee's knees. They get my goat, and float my boat. Really.

I just posted a little lesson video on SW harmony and how it is actually just the standard pentatonic scale voiced as a chord. For those of you who aren't already savvy, here it is. Enjoy!

This lesson goes over how to set pentatonic SW chords over particular bass notes to get modal substitute voicings. The diatonic superimposition system is as follows (transpose as needed):

Dm pent. SW/D = Dm7(add11) Use these for ii, iii, and vi chords.

Dm pent. SW/F = F6/9 Use these for I, IV, and V chords.

Dm pent. SW/G = Gm11(omit b3rd) or G9sus Use these for ii, vi, and V chords.

Dm pent. SW/Bb = Bbmaj13 Use these for I and IV chords.

Dm pent. SW/Eb = Ebmaj13+11 Use these for IV chords.

Dm pent. SW/C = Cm13(omit b3rd) or C13sus Use these for ii, and V chords.

Thank you, my friend. Feel free to drop another video on this topic too. There are so many cool ways to use these forms, as you know. Fun stuff. I'll check out your Bag's Groove soon. I like that tune a lot. My fav is the Miles/Monk/MJQ (-Louis) version.

Over the years I developed this habit of generating permutations, I don't know if there is a cure
but to the best of my knowledge no harm has been done.

I like to assemble voicings on the fly from modal note collections.
Practicing from a list like this is just surveying the terrain, acclimating my ears and fingers to possible future destinations.

Another good lesson. I guess I missed this one. This is a bit different than pure quartal harmony. Tetrian harmony realized with P4's and one M3! My kind of skum.
