Do you mind elaborating further? Are you speaking of basic triads, or 3 note shell voicings ( root, 3rd, 7th) like Freddy Green used?

Freddy Triangle?

Good catch! I was having a blues conversation with a student last night, and we talked a bit about Freddy King.

All of these books use triads heavily:

Amazon.com: Mel Bay Guitar Arpeggio Studies on Jazz Standards (9780786671991): Mimi Fox: Books

Amazon.com: Mel Bay Getting Your Improvising Into Shape (9780786672776): David Becker: Books

Amazon.com: Jazz Improvisation for Guitar: A Melodic Approach (9780634017728): Garrison Fewell: Books

Hit www.tedgreene.com and go the 'Lesson' section. He has many lessons sheets on triads and will likely give you everything you would want to know.

You could also buy his book called 'Chord Chemistry', widely considered the Bible when it comes to harmony on the guitar. He has a section on triads.

Once you learn to read music (do it), pick up the George Van Eps series called 'Harmonic Mechanisms'. They are scary books at first, but they are useful with some work.
