Guys you are good. Im enjoying this knowledge (it teaches my fingers how to walk and behave on the fret board) Need your Help Here............. I'm desiring to involve augmented, diminished add 9ns 11th and 13th keys on my practices without necessarily following someones progression from chart but this time my own progression which is inclusive of them. (sounds funny i guess) Im just trying to step up this guitar I play, reapetaion is sounding boring

the trick is to really know what the notes in each chord are, so you can say to yourself things like "I can add an "A" to this C7 sound and get at a C13 sound."

How is your knowledge of major scale harmony and fretboard knowledge? Those are going to be key.

if you're bored, why not learn new songs? if all you're doing is practicing progressions, you might as well be working on learning new tunes. if you figure out how to play the chord changes 'your way,' while incorporating 9ths, 11ths, and 13ths, you can end up having lots of fun!
