Default flatwound nylons

I've looked it up and found these:

Thomastik Classic S KR116

http://www.thomann.de/gb/thomastik_kr116.htm

anyone use these, or any other recommendations?

One-of-a -kind, good and pricey.
Ball ends on all strings for use on
classical or fragile, ancient instruments.

These feel, to me, slightly lighter in
tension than numerically equivalent
(lbs. tension) conventional nylon strings.
Note small diameters of trebles which are
nylon flat wound.

I have them on a very sensitive Martin 00
with a Fishman magnetic soundhole pickup
and I like it thru a Fender tube amp. Suitable
for jazz to my ear, but I'm just a wanker.
All strings have wire 'Rope Cores' allowing use
with mag. pup. Very easy on the fingers.

I'd like to try on a true classical guitar with
mag pick-up but haven't. Lacking a classical
'crossover' axe I put conventional classical nylon
strings on a Gibson flat top (L-00 re-issue)
and I'm tempted to replace the trebles with
"Rope Cores" to make it amplify-able and
see if the trebles improve but time, energy
& money have held me back. This combo
(classicals on Gibson) isn't very loud but
very sensuous under the fingers.

I like them 'cause they're easy to play & offer
unusual opportunity but you're gonna have to
see for yourself with your own guitars.

I guess what I wish to say is: better these with
a mag pup than a piezo any day for me and
they're & very easy on weak hands. Acoustically,
without, pup, limited. Good luck!

Good luck.
