Only a guess, but I know YouTube is always modifying their program, making it harder for people to copy and paste or download their stuff.

Here they are embedded Not sure I'm right but I'll take a guess; those links you posted are written as "http://youtu.be" followed by the slash and whatever number. When those are put in the address bar of a browser they become a regular you tube address, in other words, youtube.com, so I think those are shortened links that point to a main address which makes them easier to use on services like twitter that only allow you a certain number of characters. I just used the full address from the browser. I've had problems with the shortened ones as well.
