Default Classical Guitar Pieces on Electric Guitar (video)

Hey all,

I've been playing classical guitar in conjunction with electric guitar for years. However, while I'm capable of good competence with fingerpicking when I'm studying classical seriously, I find that I'm more naturally inclined to play my electric.

I've been looking to duplicate classical guitar pieces artfully on the electric.

I am not trying to play "cheezy" neoclassical link Yngwie or somthing, but want to create authentic sounding renditions of classical guitar pieces, with at least some of the dynamics of the conventional players.

I've started a small youtube series, highlighting my experiments with this.

Some examples:

Barrios, La Catedral (allegro solemne):

Ruiz Pipo, Danza (from Cancion y Danza):

I'd like to get your feedback on what you think of these performances.

And plz, no snobs

WELL DONE!!!
It does indeed make the transition quite nicely, the lines and beauty of the pieces are surprizingly fresh. Thanks for sharing these.
Mel Bay has published a volume of Bach for the Electric Guitar and I think the Badinerie was the first piece of that volume that I heard that made me see plectrum classical as a thing unto itself. All of your performances hit me the same way: a real eye opener.

Certainly good for your chops, but the sound with the processing and lack of headroom is pretty unattractive. In my opinion, these pieces would sound better on an archtop or flat-top steel-string acoustic, where the dynamics would be more controllable. In any event, still and all, very nicely done, and a worthwhile project.
