| | my jazz recordings with nylon guitar Hi everyone,
I've been playing jazz guitar for many years. i use both classical and jazz guitars. I try mix jazz & classical sound. My approach is to learn playing on jazz and classical guitar separately. After this experience your style is mixed automaticly.
At the begining I'd like to invite for listening one of my jazz compositions played on classical guitar Beyond Time | My JazzArt
I would be gratefull for any comments for this song. www.myjazzart.com

| | I checked my site with Google disgnostic tool, and Google said that everything is ok. Site is secure and stable. Maybe it was temporary network problem. (I sent diagnostic details to you as private message).
Id like also invite to listen to Autumn Leaves on 5/4. I tried change it from 4/4 to 5/4 and keep melody natural as much as pissible.
What do you think about this change?

... and another composition on classical nylon (jazz) guitar http://myjazzart.com/2011/01/jazz-composition-rain/

| | I love "beyond time." A little Ralph Towner influence?...great use of space...just yummy. very "ECM-ish," if that makes sense. |

| | I added second version Beyond Time, and I wrote final score with new part B (melody on this part is optional). Beyond Time | My JazzArt
Maybe someone will try play/record it in his own way?
On my site there are 4 versions of this tune, and feel free to use it.

| | I like your composition. You did a good job combining the two styles. Nothing sounds forced. It sounds like "modern" Classical, if that makes any sense. I noticed in some areas one style would to prevail over the other, sort of swaying back and forth gently. Beautiful piece, and thanks for providing the scores. |

| | jazzart,
this is beautiful. I agree reminds me of oregan/ECM. I too play on a nylon cutaway, classic wide neck. I play solo style. It is more because I can't afford a jazz box and I have normalised to playing a 2" wide neck.
You have a good sound there.
I am experimenting with my sound. I am going mono direct no amp. I use VST effects; a mono-2-stereo, compressor and reverb. I set the EQ to weight more on the low end. the moment I am still trying to fine tune the compressor gain.
Can I ask what effects you use? Cheers.

I discovered by accident that this looper change my sound and add something like compresor. I try other effects but they doesn't work for me. So I use this looper like compresor also in studio I use also mic sennheiser e606 for recording.
Guitar is not any special.
But secret is also in amp Martinello - hand made amazing amp compared to AER. Quote:

| | thanks. That is some good equipment, odd that the looper has a compressor side effect! Apologies if i came across as after your recipe, just liked specifically the mix on your tune.

| | place elliptical machines I enjoy you because of all of the labor on this website. My mother really loves participating in research and it is easy to see why. My partner and i hear all relating to the compelling way you deliver simple guidelines through the web blog and therefore welcome participation from visitors on that theme and my daughter is in fact starting to learn a lot of things. Take pleasure in the remaining portion of the new year. You are doing a wonderful job. home ellipticals |
