Looking for new "strong melody" standard suggestions. I currently play somewhat well in order of preferencealone and not perfect)
My One and Only Love
Stardust
Stella by Starlight
Polka Dots
Autumn Leaves
Nearness of You
Body and Soul
Embraceable You
Wee small hours
I can't get started
Moon River
Misty
Rainy Day
Nature Boy
There will never be another you
Looking for 5 or so more to sink into. All suggestions appreciated. Thanks...
These are all sweet melodies, and not too tough to build into a personalized arrangement:
* Softly as in a Morning Sunrise
* Manha de Carnaval
* Bluesette
* Over the Rainbow
* My Funny Valentine
* One Note Samba
All are readily available in the legal Real book series and many other sources online...hope you enjoy playing these as much as I do.
Thanks for the suggestions guys- I actually do play Georgia, Over the Rainbow, and the Things we did last summer( one of my favorites). Anymore would be welcomed. Thanks Pierre, I do have two versions of the real book which is why I ask out of all the songs in there, which to try to learn....
