| | Jazz guitar albums with chord meoldies Does anyone know of some good jazz guitar albums with chord melodies(or just songs) in the style of Hank Garlands 'Velvet guitar'? I know joe pass, barney kessell and kenny burrel have some nice chord melody songs, can anyone think of some other artists for me to listen to? |

Jimmy Bruno - Solo
Lenny Breau - Cabin Fever, Last Sessions, Complete Living Room Tapes |

| | if you can find joe pass' album "intercontinental" its worth the search. also, jim hall "live" is probably my fave trio record. gene bertoncini is one of the best solo guitar players i have ever heard. unlike anybody else. |

| | I like his style. He's got a lot of Van Epps in his playing without being a copy cat. I like his choice of harmonies. Thanks for posting those vids. |

| | wow! Thank you Jay, this guy was great! He sounded a lot like George Van Eps on 6-string. He had a lot of feeling in his music and his technique was astonishing!

| | Look up Jimmy Foster on youtube. He plays 7 string chord melody. If you like what he does, he sells some cds on his website.

| | Jimmy Bruno put out a fantastic solo guitar album. I think it was 2009. He is a monster! I do wonder why he went back to 6 string, but it is still outstanding.
Also, Joe Pass virtuoso series really opened my eyes and ears!
