Default Moonlight in Vermont Ballad Arrangement

hi...

i will be performing a ballad for an audition and at a public performance.

the ballad is moonlight in vermount and I know it as a chord melody and single string.

do you think the best way to show this is off is to do AA as a solo chord melody and have the band come in on B?

or something like A solo chord melody and have the band come in on the secound A.

what is the most common, and best bet. just that when I perform it i wont be able to practise with the band at my audition.

thanks...

I think this is a good idea, Rubato chord melody to the bridge, then introduce a pulse in the turnaround to the bridge. Play single line melody during the bridge and kick up the embellishments during the final "A" section. Improv on the next round or hand it off to another soloist to give yourself some time to hear how the band is adapting.
