Default Some chord melodies

Hello,

I made some chord melodies, two standards (ature Boy, One Day My
Prince Will Come) and a compo. You can find them on this site :

MySpace.com - Guelda - FR - Swing - www.myspace.com/gueldaswing

I would really appreciate if you could give me some advices or opinions.

Thanks, have swing

Very nice guelda. I especially liked Nature Boy. You sound like you have more than a little gypsy jazz in your playing. Thanks for posting.

Hi Derek,

thanks for the feedback. I have to admit it's my favorite too
I love so much the Nat King Cole version of this song...

You are right, I try to play mostly in the gypsy style. I tried to play jazz
a long time ago and got bored by the difficulty, and gypsy jazz brought me
back to the style and now I'm down with it.

All the best
Guelda

Do you mean "did you did it by yourself" ? If so, yes I did it by hear.
You got me thinking about making a new chord-melody, I'm still wandering
which melody I should choose... Maybe "Taking a chance on love".

peace my friend

Guitar thanks for Reply

It sounds good if you play without partitions.

Do you think you can work something like George Benson actually.
Chords-Melody. Any Song. But on Belfast DVD concert he played one solo tune.

Wooow, Benson you say ? Well, this sounds pretty tough !

I recently learned the version of "I've grown accustomed to her face"
by Wes Montgomery, but using tablatures, and it's wonderful. I also
worked (by ear) on his intro for "Baubles, Bangles & Beads" which I love,
great one too.

Anyway I would like to hear how Benson plays chord-melody, this must be
fantastic too ! I must admit I haven't listen much to him but I know he's
one of the greatest.

cheers
Guelda
