I came all over your post as a way to cheat myself out of some quality time figuring Koop Island Blues on my own but I said to myself: Figure it out yourself and you'll feel much more rewarded. And so I did!
The chords are the same all throughout, 4 beats to every bar:
Bbm|%|F7|%|
Bbm|%|F7|%|
Ebm|%|Bbm|%|
Ebm|%|F7|%|
*%=same chord
Because everything except the lead singer is sampled the bass
doesn't wary all that much. On the Bbm it's basically Bb Db F Db (Bbm arpeggio) and the Ebm and F7 the bass rocks on the 5th (i.e Eb/Bb & F/C)
Because tab is so time consuming I'll give you the steps of the Bb Harmonic Minor Scale that are used in sequence for the first 8 chords. You'll find the scale on in a section on this website (same goes for the chords) and the rhythm is for you to figure out.
b6, 5, 5 (an octave down) 1, b3, 5, 5, b3, 5, 4
5, 4, 3, 5 (same range as above) 1, b3, 5, 5, 3, 5, 2
As an aside, I know you sometimes have trouble figuring out chords for songs you perceive as "more jazzy" and it's a good thing that you are currently expanding your range. And as you can see the chords really aren't that complicated so is it possible that your perception of "more jazzy chords" was limiting you in achieving your goals until now? I invite you to consider it so you can continue to grow and develop without smelly limiting beliefs about what is hard or not for you.
If there's anything else you need like the solo or intro, suggestions on how to learn the song in the quickest most effective way or maybe what the mandolin, horns or caribbeanesque instrument are playing let me know. And remember: If you can't have fun, have fun instead!
