Luthier Jimmy Foster has some of him playing solo 7 string. You can find them at his website: fosterguitars.com

Before you buy, you can see him play on some clips at this site. Then decide if its what you really want.

Ah Yes! Tuck Andress. That`s a good one too! Joe Pass Virtuoso in New York is amazing. I love My Shining Hour by Howard Alden, mentioned above. Heard of Marco Pereira from Brazil? Beautiful nylon string sambas, bossas, choros etc. His album is called "Original".

Unorthodox choice here.

Jamie Findlay - Miles Davis for Solo Guitar

Miles Davis for Solo Guitar - Sheet Music Plus

It's actually a book. But the CD that comes with it is awesome. And as a bonus you'll have transcriptions for everything. It's become one of my favorite albums even though its not really an album.

Well its not a solo album, but 'Duo' with Charlie Hunter on guitar and another bloke on drums/congas etc is awesome. Of course, you'll need an eight-string guitar to start learning his stuff.
