 Good Chord Melody Books for Contemporary I have two of the Robert Yelin chord melody books - Jazz Standards for Solo Guitar and Jazz Gems for Solo Guitar and I think they're some of the best I have, and I have a whole stack! Can anyone recommend books of the same quality that have more contemporary material? Tunes by people like Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach, Henry Mancini, etc? While I am a bonafide jazz fanatic, none of my friends have any clue about jazz standards.      |

| The best thing to do is transcribe the melody line and then make your own chord melody. This is the way to go. Then you don't need to buy books. Are you familiar with how to create a chord melody?
