Default Beatles "In My Life"

Now at age 55, over the past two weeks I've been recalling my early years of enjoying the music of The Beatles and Rolling Stones. One of the songs that I keep singing to myself (though I can't sing) is "In My Life".

Would anyone have a jazz guitar arrangement that they would be willing to post?

Thanks

same here, but I've got 2 years on ya. rediscovered the Beatles a few years back and I'm pretty much gobsmacked at their song writing brilliance. In My Life is one I considered attempting. I know you're asking for a jazz arrangement, but LJ (Laurence Juber) did a nice fingerstyle version, which he published in his Popular Music book. I learned it. Simple, effective.

And he does Oh Darling in that book/CD, a bit more jazzy/bluesy. Another favorite of mine.

Ted Greene did a few simple arrangement of Beatles songs for students. Go to the TedGreene.com website, and particularly the "From Students" section and hunt down the list for some Beatles songs.

To all of you, thanks very much!

I downloaded LJ from iTunes -- beautifully done; and Tuck's accompaniment to Patti's vocal is appropriately understated. I think both Juber and Andress performed this piece with great respect. And Ted Greene's website is a treasure.

Here's a juicy tidbit I believe from "The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions" which I picked up a a music fest one day. George Martin played the instrumental bridge at half speed. This was a relief to learn after struggling with this section in LJ's guitar interpretation. Although I see Tuck doesn't have a problem.

I had forgotten Tuck and Patti did this song. They're local treasures (to me) and I've seen them perform a few times. Tuck is one of the monsters of the instrument. In fact, Joe Pass said he was going to get Ella and come after them!

Just checked out Ted Greene's site. wow.

I may have an arrangement from Fingerstyle Guitar magazine from a few years ago. Could take me a while to find it but I'll have a look.
