Default The Christmas Song

Here is a video breaking down my arrangement of The Christmas Song....might be helpful for a beginning to intermediate CM player.

Thats nice, could you take a minute and tell us how you arrange your tunes...I always find that interesting because we all do it a bit different.....

my favourite christmas song...

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yule-tide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

Everybody knows a turkey
and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys
and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer
really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said
many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you.

-almsot but not quite fluid-it gets so much better as i learn the melody and work the song and begin to play around with it

and

thanks for your other tutorials-non jazz as well-i downloaded about a dozen and have been having great fun-simply great -thanks for your generosity and time in this way

Hi Maplebaby,

Our study group is doing that song this month. Your youtube vid is perfect for that thread. Perhaps you could also post this over there:
