Default Fingerings for Joe Pass's Blues for Alican?

Hello friends,

Does anyone have fingerings that they think are pretty good for Joe Pass's Blues for Alican? I just started working through the first chorus, and there are a couple of places (like measures four and six) that no matter where I finger it, I encounter some difficulties (either I can't phrase it right in a particular position, or there's an awfully big jump, or the like). Not that I mind working through it until it falls under my fingers better (in fact, that's exactly what I want to do!), I'd just prefer to practice a fingering that I'm confident is a sensible one.

There are bunches of tabs on the internet (and you can more or less infer the fingerings from the fret patterns), but they all seem to originate from the same source (and I don't like a lot of their solutions). Anyone have something they think is better that they'd be willing to share? It doesn't have to be tab, standard notation plus fingerings is fine ... actually I don't even need the notation, just the fingerings!

Many thanks even for any leads!

Brian

Since I wasn't able to find anything already written out, I tried working out the first chorus myself:

I'm not sure that those fast, slurred phrases in measures 4-5 & 9 are correct (this is the best I could come up with, but way I phrase it in this position doesn't sound quite right). Also, the end of the phrase in measure 4 has something going on with a hammer on or pull off that I can't figure out at all!

The low G natural in measure 6 is almost like a ghost note, so I feel like it sounds closer to the original if I don't play it! Finally, on the Youtube video I play a Db9 in measure 2, rather than a Db#9 (I didn't realize it was a an E natural until I wrote out the fingerings!).

Oh ... (you can't see this since I didn't scan the second page), but the transcription has the very last four note phrase in measure 16 (that takes you into the turn-around with the g pedal) beginning with a grace note Bb sliding into a B natural. Is this a mistake? I don't hear Bb at all in the recording!

Thanks for any suggestions!

Brian
