Default Chord Notation Help Pleeeeeease

I am looking for a program that will allow me access to a virtual fingerboard where I can position markers on the strings to generate my own chords. Then I would like to save those chords...(in order)to a song file. It would have to save around 50 chords for each song. I would also like for it to have a "sound generator" so I can hear my chords. Does anyone know of a program that will allow me to do this?
Please respond....I am desperate....(as well as forgetful)
Thanks

Good afternoon, Mickey...
I think this will do the job (works for me, and has done for years...)...
Guitar Pro 6 - Logiciel de tablatures pour guitare, basse et autres instruments à cordes
...You can download the trial version for evaluation; it's not expensive if you decide to adopt it.
Hope this helps...

Yes, or a stripped down version of Band In A Box.

So let me get this straight . . . you want a program that allows you to put notes on a fingerboard, then play them so you know what they sound like. And if you like them, save them.

Pardon me for asking the obvious, but why wouldn't you just use a guitar to sound out the chord experiments, and then write them down (using tab if necessary)?
