Check This Out! Chord melody article guitarist techniques

Sorry but im a bit late letting everyone know about this, but the magazine guitarist techniques is currently running a feature on chord melody. It started two issues ago but back issues are available. So far it has covered walking bass lines with chords, and i have found it to be really good.Just thought i would mention it in case anyone is interested. For me it was one of those serendipity moments as this was just where i was at when it started the feature.

Ha! Ha!

Welcome back GJ!

Errr, What is the difference between solo guitar and chord melody? I thought they were pretty much the same.

Gingerjazz,

You are probably busy "takin' care of business" to I am going to try and answer my own question.

Apparently, the definition of the terms "chord-melody" and "solo guitar" has become vague over time.

For those that are interested here is a discussion that features our own illustrious "Mr. Beaumont" as a participant:

Difference between chord melody and fingerstyle? [Archive] - The Acoustic Guitar Forum
