Default Need some feedback on some arrangements

Okay, I've been "studying" jazz for about a year now with my teacher Derryl Gabel, and I've got a couple of arrangements that I've come up with recently that I'd like to get a bit of a critique on. These are the first three I've ever done so set your expectations accordingly. They're all in Power Tab. Sorry for that final lick in All of Me in advance: I couldn't help myself

Cool, I gave "All of Me" a listen. Good stuff. There are a few things that I would have done differently, but so what - it's a good arrangement.

Here are the things that I noticed:

m. 1 - I would have chosen a more interesing first chord. Maybe a 6/9 voicing.

m. 7 - Starting halfway through this measure, you harmonize it with a b5? I think of this chord as Dm7.

m. 9 - I would have harmonized that Eb with an F7. Since the voice is descending (E-Eb-D) my ear wants to harmonize it from above.

m. 11 - Why not use the open A?

m. 12 - Hmmm, wasn't expecting that F#, but I like it.

m. 13 - I would have harmonized that Bb with an Eb9.

mm. 25-26 - This is usually some kind of F6->Fm6 or F6->F#dim7. I'm not sure what you are going for in m. 25 (some kind of F reharm), but in m. 26 you are doing the F#dim7. If that is the case, I think that the root movement is so strong that I would want an F->F# in the bass.

m. 30 - You realize that you changed the melody on beat 3 from A to G#? Not a horrible sin - I've done stuff like that before.

m. 34 - Cool little lick caught me off guard.

As I said, nice arrangement. I can't find anything wrong with it per se, just a few comments. Keep up the good work.

Peace,
Kevin

I Like the arrangement of misty but it's a tad to fast IMO. It's really good!
