Default Shadow Of Your Smile

On the jazz guitar.be website there is a fingerstyle arrangement of part of the song. Can anyone point me into the direction of the full finger style version of the song.

Here's the link I was talking about Solo Guitar Tabs: The Shadow of Your Smile

It looks like there's a link to a zip file on that page, which contains a Sibelius source file. If you have Sibelius, then you could use that - otherwise, I've got Sibelius at home and I'll see if I can load it up tonight.

Sorry, but looks like that's all that is written out. I opened the .sib file in Sibelius and it was exactly as shown on that link.

There's a fingerstyle arrangement in Laurindo Almeida's "Contemporary Moods for Classical Guitar." It's out of print, so you may have to find a library with a copy. I also don't think it has any Tab, just notation. If you do a youtube search on:
"almeida shadow of your smile", you will find a few videos of people doing this arrangement. Even though intended for classical guitarists, I think most jazz fingerstyle players would find it suitable.

Joe Pass

info is very helpfull. I play a lot of chord melody , Tony benett [songs] To play chord melody i just put the melody note on top of the chords. Just invert the chord when changing positions. I like johnny smith ,Art vandamm. Playing jazz was tough at first.Igot jimmy bruno,s video. It help alot. Playing blues scales is great. Got to bend the string at the right notes and time. Lots of practice in 40 yrs and some. Thanks for the tips.

There's an arrangement by Ted Greene posted on his TedGreene.com website.
Go to the "Tunes" in the "Lessons" section. Better yet, go to the "From Students" section under "contributions by Paul Vachon" to see Ted's arrangement in notation.
It's not a overly difficult arrangement.
