I posted a notation file and some sound clips for my trio-style (or duo-style) chord melody arrangement of Jobim's "If You Never Come To Me." Go to the lessons page on my site (
http://frogstoryrecords.com/) and scroll down to the Chord-Melody section.
For solo gigs, I play almost the same voicing, just adding roots on the low strings. (When I get a chance I'll post a solo sound clip.) In a solo setting, I voice the first few chords like this:

Notice that I use only three notes in the third measure. I voice the chords with the top note on the second string (whereas in the trio arrangement, I voice the first three chords with the top note on the first string.) If you try this, I think you'll see that it sounds full, so you don't need to bother with trying to play a four-note voicing in the third measure.
This arrangement is pretty basic and easy to play, so I hope you find it instructive and enjoyable.
