Technique will this work

I use a pick MOST all the time and my 3 remaining fingers for fingerstyle picking when necessary. Will this work?

Same here. I actually find myself doing this a lot recently and I hadn't thought about it or "practiced" it really, in a planned out sense, just because it seems to feel like certain things sound better or feel better with fingers and others with pick.

I'm not any kind of chord-melody authority but it seems to be to an ideal situation. It can certainly work just fine if one works at it anyway.

It's a good way to get separation between your bass and soprano voices. Makes them sound like two distinct voices.

Peter Bernstein has some very cool solo stuff in that style
