Default Been here a while but

04-11-2007 us when I joined :

I screwed up and here's my intro a tad late but .....

===========================================

Lots has happened to me first started guitar in 1956 / and ended it in 1962 i

In 1998 I get to restart where I left off and re invent myself as a musician all over again to many who have known me for many years as a harmonica player who cover all styles Jazz to Swing , Dixie to Tin Pan Alley ethnic whims and now

I get to do it with a guitar .

Flash back to 1962 .

After playing three chords I thought I was hot stuff as a child since I already was playing many different style's of songs from many genres from `1954 on to 62 on harmonica(s) where I also picked up on the school's marching band playing trumpet from 1958 ...

1962 was a rude reality check after I had my left hand peppered with tiny sharp pieces of milk bottle glass after 3 of those milk bottle were struck accidentally by my older sister who was swinging a bag of ice cubes in circle and lost she balance and spun into full force striking the 3 milk bottles the hung from my left hand fingers . .

Flash forward to 1998 :

Typing away at the public library I scratch and itch on my right forearm , and feel pain --

do it 3 times and spell out the mark of Zorro on my arm and can't for the life of me realize why I'm bleeding , " What the #*&^ "

I get a hand held lens from the librarian and look at my left ring finger since it is what I had finally deduced what had scratched my forearm and my forehead as well ( don't ask , there in the end tip off center I see a tiny little reflection , upon pushing around it I see a arrow head like knife point pops out and I remove it and see it's shaped about twice the size of a phonograph LP needle and almost in a perfect arrow head look !

October next I celebrate the beginning of my 9th year of being a student of the guitar . I cover standards in Jazz , Swing , Rock , Blues & Country Western . Jazz is and has always been a special thing to me as it allows for the individuals creativity to not only flow but also to explode in so many wonderful and beautiful was .

As a side and front man I am known locally here in southern California as a harp playing maniac Now the area is seeing the new and improved model of me heh heh .

I started with a cheap nylon Chinese and then a better one and then on to a Washburn D46SCE acoustic electric rose wood body with a one piece spruce top

- what a guitar -

It made me aware I was more than ready for an electric guitar .

I wanted something that was a cutting edge state of the art guitar now for todays new ways and sounds in music world wide as well as American Jazz - Blues - Rock - Country . and ended up with :

Godin LGXSA Synth / Electric / and Acoustic electric guitar with a

Roland GR33 synthesizer guitar module .

I also play drums and keyboard .

What I found out lately is that since getting the synth guitar set up , I find it's really cool and efficient to use the guitar synth to play all the keyboard parts so , now I don't play the keyboard as much and don't really miss it .

I play through a P.A. set up for synth sounds and a tube 60 watt guitar amp for the electric guitar sounds via a GNX4 Digitech DAW and it's a gas .

In the past I have been fortunate and privileged to be on stage with some of the monsters of Jazz and Rock and hope to repeat such perfomances with these people ( those who are still alive ) again someday with the guitar instead of only the harmonica(s) .

Can't wait to learn and share here with ya'll .

Sincerely :

Hurricane Ramon

P. S . check out my little Polytone III/IV/V/M-PA thread & I added a a Squier PBASS to my quiver too .

Guitar Feeling Comfortable

Thanks derek :

Kind of jumped into this forum fast due in part to a fellow member I grew up with here in so.Cal , he's in Idaho.......

and

I've covered some ground too . I'm back in so.Cal now ........

But

I have my head & heart in Hawaii where I lived 7 years on The Big Island Hawaii .

I finally found my original post on another persons intro page - heh heh live and learn .

This forum is a great place in many ways , it's helped me musically and stuff but also helped us ( jaxson50 ) communicate musically too .

Easy man
