Hi there,
I've been visiting these quality forums on a semi-regular basis for a while now, and since I started posting (on semi off-topic threads) recently, I thought I'd introduce myself.
I've been playing the guitar for a good 20 years and listening to jazz for about as long. I'm a much better listener than player, unfortunately. Probably because I'm a dilettante.
My jazz guitar tastes range from the old school (Django) to the classics (Wes, Grant, Jim) to the modern (Frisell, Scofield, Abercrombie...) and the out-there.
Playing-wise, I'm not so adventurous. If one day I could play with the simplicity and elegance of a Jim hall w/ Jimmy Giuffre...
Oh, and I own (and I like) guitars from the US, Europe and China, and think they're all great instruments, period. Gibson, The Heritage or Eastman, one does not have to choose.
