Hello, I will keep words simple for you and translator. What is your favourite style of music and what is your favourite guitar player?

bonsoir pierre, yes this is a good site, pity it has not posted anything before. I'm not sure quite understand your question but I think that refers to how long I play my instrument! the answer is - from an early age but always as the instrument is self-taught guitar.

hey jozzie...

what I meant buy time on the instrument...

most of us cannot spend 5-6 hours a day on our instrument...

a lot of us cannot afford "good quality" lessons..40-60 dollars per hour..

playing the guitar as much as possible is the key...we learn our theory...we learn new licks to insert in our improvisations...we study jazz transcriptions of our favorite players and players other than guitar players to see what they play over the changes and compare it to what we play at our level of ability..

listening to the great players to "hear" how they play the notes...it's not the words but the way they are said...

make the guitar a part of your life and not just "something to do"....

the more you play the better you should get...do not worry about starting at the bottom of the ladder...keep it simple and play within your ability...one step at a time will get you to the top...

time on the instrument...pierre

hello pierre.

well now I understand your question because you have every reason and I am one who fits this profile that describes you I do not have much time, I'm married with children and do not have much money to pay for classes a good teacher, therefore my head is a pit of confusion music, because I do not have a method to keep studying .. I own fairly the Greek modes and the pentatonic and a good part of chord called jazz, but at the time of jamming my god what a mess .. hope to learn a little about the links of "the jazz guitar forum" and spend my well time with the instrument

thanks
