Newbie! Hello from the Houston area

Hello to you all. My name is Stu, and I've been playing guitar to and for myself and immediate family members for on/off 8 years, but the last couple of years more consistently.

I guess I consider myself more of an instrumental song writer than a guitarist, and the former's skills came more naturally once I started learning and injecting "Jazz chords" into my ideas. That research has provided me with a new respect for Jazz guitar and Jazz guitarists and I'd love to learn much more.

Sure hope I can be of assistance along the way.

Good to have you Stu. I have spent some time in Houston in the past. Was there shortly after Ike.
