 What's up folks? Hey guys I'm new to the forum and just figured I'd offer an introduction as I hope to garner a lot of information from this forum. I'm a 29 year old guitarist in the Mississippi Delta. Brought up playing mostly blues (of all kinds) and that's kinda what I do but I'm in school as a music major (focusing on theory and history) and am also working on jazz guitar. I've been toying around with jazz guitar back and forth for a few years playing in jazz bands and a few combos but mostly just being a hack blues musician faking it. Well I've decided its time to take it seriously so I've begun transcribing solos, memorizing changes, taking improv lessons (something I never thought I had a problem with before coming to jazz), and devoting a lot of time to the jazz genre. Hope to learn a lot from you guys here.     |

| I'm currently in school at Delta State University. I finish my bachelor's degree in May and I'll start graduate school here at DSU working on an M.Ed. in Secondary Education (performing arts) in the Fall. When I finish that I will be looking at schools to begin work on either an M.A. or M.S. in Music Theory somewhere |
