Default New guy here

Hi there:

New guy to the forum here. Been playing a long time. Had intentions at one time of persuing music professionally, but didn't. Hobbyist now and in a couple different playing situations, but looking to do more and improve.

Any other NYCers out there?

Cheers,

Rev

Thanks, everyone.

Derek: Yes, everything counts!

John: I work in Mahwah, so I'm a bridge and tunnel guy in reverse, I guess. Where are some good jazz guitar shops in the area? I've seen Guitars n Jazz in Edison, but not much else. And everything in NYC is too up-charged to bother with.

Cheers,

Rev

Lark Street Music in Teaneck between routes 80 and 4.
Golden Age in Westfield. Right by a train station

Rutherford Music Exchange used to have some jazz boxes but he may stopped due to low demand.

I've seen some of Rudy's prices. Yes they are up there.

Between Mahwah and the city there are 2 guitar centers and a Sam Ash. All three have the same usual stuff.

Lark Street - I forgot about that place! Walked by it once when visiting a friend of a friend and thought it was an odd place to find a quality guitar shop.

Thanks,
