Default Introduction: Dave from Philly

Hi all,

I've enjoyed some of the information I've gotten from this site over the years. Figure it's about time to register and start participating. I've been playing guitar for about 25 years. Studied at GIT back in the '80s (87-88). I'm reading Ted Greene's bio right now and find it very inspiring (and grieve our collective loss at his passing).

I'm a jazz listener and study out of jazz books a lot but have never been much of a straight-ahead jazzer. I'm taking on Howard Roberts' Super Chops starting in February though, so maybe that'll change! (Anyone's welcome to join me, I posted about it on another forum and there's a few of us who will be doing it at the same time. It's free and I think anyone stands to learn a lot by doing the course.)

I'm currently playing through a few guitars, mostly my Collings I-35, an ES-335, a Tele and various strats. I'm craving a Sadowsky LS-17 with TI GB .014 flat wounds something fierce though!

Look forward to meeting some of you!

Dave
