Default Hi there

And happy new year. Just registered and thought I'd say hi to the community. Having played blues for over 15 yrs, I decided I'd had enough of the pentatonic and wanted to explore new territory. I've always been a jazz freak: my favorite musicians ever are Monk, Trane, Miles, and Bird, Mingus (I hear you: who doesn't?). I also like Sonny Rollins, Shorter, Wynton Marsalis. Favorite guitarists: Jim Hall, Burrell, Wes, Metheny (trio), Sco, and Frisell. I also like Peter Bernstein and B. Broom. My main challenge right now is to enrich my vocabulary, start building meaningful phrases, and focus on sound. Thank you all for your posts, I've learned a lot from the various threads. Cheers.
