Newbie! Season's Greetings!

Hello everybody, hope you all had a good Christmas.....

I got into jazz (through ska and reggae, of all things!) in the eighties, and am trying to relearn guitar after not playing at all for about ten years.... not that I was much good at it back then!

My favourite guitarists are Ernest Ranglin, Tal Farlow, Steve Cropper, Lynn Taitt, Wes, Django,Charlie Christian.....I'd better stop there!

I'm trying to make a reasonably serious effort to play jazz in the coming year so your site has been a great discovery for me... hopefully, I'll make some sort of progress with your help!

Cheers, Chris

Welcome aboard CJ. I'm relatively new hear, too. I'm a big Tal, Django, and Charlie fan and many more. Billy Bean, Bucky and John Pizzarelli, Kenny Burrell to name a few. I got to meet Bucky in Muscatine, Iowa, of all places, a couple years ago and got real close to his seven string Benadetto. He tunes the low "B" down to an "A" for convenience.(aeadgbe)
Keep us up with your progress. SS
