Sweet Xmas Day

Well, Happy Xmas, all. Have had a day of peace with family and friends, difficult to ask for more; but in terms of music-based gifts, not a bad haul.
Mark Levine's "Jazz Theory" book
A set of Thomastik George Benson strings
Joni Mitchell's "Shadows and Light" DVD, featuring Metheny, Pastorius, Brecker, Lays, ALias, what a backing band.

As always Mrs. M hits the spot with prezzies!!

Merry Christmas back at you. No music related presents for me, but I did get some $, so that will get turned in music.

Merry Christmas to all of you folks.
I finally got an amp that can play jazz without sounding gross: a Fender Blues Jr.
after having to play through a crappy Crate solid state combo, its tone is just about perfect. (except when overdriven)
also got a bunch of non-jazz CDs I've been anticipating for a good while.
