Newbie! Hi from the forum noob!

Hi there,
I'm Jimmy. I've been playing guitar on and off for quite a few years now. I was always fascinated by John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu and Shakti stuff but felt it was wayyyy beyond me . These days I've got the Chris Whitley bug so I'm trying to get my fingers around that! I look forward to hanging out and playing more guitar!

Welcome to the forum, jimmyneel! Glad to have you here. The folks are very friendly here, and they all seem willing to share. Check out the section on lessons. No matter what mode of guitar you want to play, what they offer will serve you well--the basics are here and applicable to all.

Thanks for the tip! I've never been to Japan. What are you up to there?

I was in Mumbai India last year. That's pretty wild and I did enjoy it!
I'm also fascinated with Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. He's in India somewhere. He was a disciple of Ravi Shankar and invented the Mohan Veena, a modified Hawaiian guitar. See ya 'round!

Jimmy
