Default Archery anyone?

Besides guitar, and especially jazz guitar of course, my other big passion in life is archery (I shoot target archery using a compound bow for anyone interested). I was just wondering if there are any other archer-guitarists out there on the forum?

I used to be into archery about 20 years ago. I used to do both target shooting and small game hunting, but then I sort of lost interest in it for some reason. I did own one compound bow, but I never really liked it, and preferred to use a recurve - owned Bear 55 pound and 40 pound bows. I just free sighted everything and became remarkably accurate with my 55 pound recurve. It always amazed me how the human brain can calculate distance, arrow drop, and windage so accurately without reference to any aiming aids. Of course, I was not a competitive archer. A state park near where I live now actually has a wonderful outdoor archery range, and I've thought of taking it up again.

Well, I think you should Goof, can you not feel the call of the outdoors? But cheers, at least I know there is another archer on the forum. We aren't allowed to hunt here in the UK, although I have done some field archery shooting at 3D targets in the past, both with my compound, and also with a flatbow (what you would call a longbow I think). It was fantastic fun, so I keep thinking I should do some more of that type of archery.
