New Member Hello everyone,
I am 43 and employed as a Instrument and Control Consultant predominately within the Oil and Gas Industry.
Like many members I guess, my introduction to Jazz was through my father, who had a collection of seemingly obscure 78rpm records at that time with the likes of Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel etc..
Recently I have started to listen in awe to these great records and bought them in CD form myself , much to the dismay of my wife who doesn't have any ear at all for Jazz Music.
I have recently became a member of "JazzGuitar" after years of wastefully tinkering around the acoustic guitar in the corner of the back room. For years and years my playing guitar has stagnated and is somewhat embarrasing, however the reintroduction of Jazz into my life has ignited the passion of re-learning MUSIC. From the basic fundamentals of reading music notation, a lot of hard work and patience I hope to create the wonderful warm tones and to actually play a tune will be a huge personal milestone. Anyhow I just thought I'd say hello. "Hello !" |
