Interesting Really Neat Online "Band in a Box" type thing for Free

JamStudio.com - Create Music Beats - The online music factory - Jam, remix, chords, loops

You basically put your chord progression into the boxes, and then select instruments to play your progression. Its free to use, and they have all chords (including maj7/min7) except for diminished and augmented chords and other more advanced chords.

Have fun! You can save your songs if you sign up for a free account. I did, no spam or anything, and I signed up like 8 months ago, before the site even had a shred of popularity. Hope you find it as useful and enjoying as I do.

Checked it out, not too bad. Another one is the wikifakebook.com. Seemed to have better range of instruments aimed more at Jazz and all the chords.

Beats the heck out of my el-cheapo version of BIAB (midi). Can't you add 7th chords, alter chords, etc.?

I love the user interface. BIAB needs to be that easy to use. If BIAB would adopt this kind of a user friendly interface I'd use it to create real songs. Right now, when I'm serious about making music, I have to lay down all the tracks myself (along with copious amounts of cow bell).

Check out www.ralphpatt.com, it has backing tracks to most real book songs, plus an index of all the basic chord progressions without substitutions.
