Default Hello from Lyon, France

although I have not had time to read all the sections of this site: thank you for this lovely place and friendly atmosphere

I am 57 years old, I try to start playing the guitar after a long stop. I never learned the theory, scales ... I think it's never too late to start.

lessons on this site is very well done.
I'm glad I discovered this site

advice for young people: never give up this wonderful instrument, you will regret all the lost years.

I still have a lot of work to play like Metheny :

Donīt worry about the number on the age - tag. My mother started (from scratch) playing the piano and the violin at the age of sixty. Now she is 75, and has been playing (small) gigs for at least 7 years. So just get on with it and enjoy the ride! :0)

thank you all for your responses, it's very nice.

it's fun to see all these messages from different countries, the world is small.
I'm not sad because my age (sorry for my english) i only regret to have a little let my guitar because I thought there were more important things to do, i was wrong.

yes !!! Lyon is not a city where we play the best jazz but it's the best city to eat good foods .... and drink good wine :
I exchange jazz guitar lessons against some recipes.

Maurice

Hey Zeno, Sylvain Courtney lives in Nancy. He is a killer player and great instructor. He is also a member in our forum.
