 A New Thing to Do! Hello everybody! I'm really looking forward to being part of this forum community. I tend to be a "lurker" on forums and don't write much....but I really enjoy what everybody has to say, and maybe I'll even write a little here and there. I'm a professional nylong string guitar player who took up the serious study of jazz harmony a few years ago. There's so much I still want to learn! I decided to join this forum after I read one of the jazz lessons on this website, which at the very bottom of the page, gave the mnemonic for remembering the modes: "I Don't Play Like My Aunt Lucy." Only I would modify it to "I Don't Play Like My Aunt LOla," in order to distinguish Lydian from Locrian. (I suppose my biggest challenge now will be not to lurk on these boards so much that it steals my practice time!  )Anyway, What Fun! Have a great day! P.Wing     |
