| | New member from UK Hello All,
Been following this site for some time now although this i my first 'post' as such. By way of backround, I've been playing guitar since I was very young although I'm now in my forties (groan). Only turned to jazz 'proper' just over a year ago as had simply become bored of more popular styles of music and wanted to push myself. Now loving every minute of it -working hard at lessons, reading and theory and trying to be as open minded as possible and listen to everyone and everything. Have first jazz band in the making although feel like I've got a lot of catching up to do! Look forward to speaking to you all, seems like there are some very experiences players on the forum. Okay, life history over...

| | Thanks for the welcome. I'm really looking forward to learning from the forum and think it's great to have somewhere where the jazz community can get together and thrash out different ideas and approaches. I am (hopefully!) on the right path although it seems like such a long one! Great. |

I was lucky enough to get along to see The Impossible Gentlemen before Christmas; great to see some amazing jazz players from both sides of 'the pond' strutting their stuff. Thanks again for your warm welcome. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
